Embodiment of Divine Souls, Amma’s Most Beloved,
Sweet Children, Today is the very auspicious Vijayadasami festival day. Amma’s special motherly love and affection to all of you. I love you always. Countless times I love you. I love you. You are my supreme Self. You are Amma’s flesh, Amma’s blood, Amma’s breath, Amma’s heartbeat and my supreme Self. So that’s why, I love you so much, my sweet children. My special love and my special motherly affections, once again, to all of you. All these nine days of Navaratri festivals in the Sharan Navaratri time, all these nine days a lot of festivities are going on—some v. beautiful festivities—Brahmotsavas, Chandi yagas, Maha Lakshmi homas, Maha Gayatri homas, different, different mantras, Saraswati homas with beautiful white lotus flowers, red lotus flowers with Maha Lakshmi homas, and beautiful flowers, different flowers for Lalitambika homas, Rudra yagas, Maha Lakshmi homas, different homas are going on here: Laksha moduka Maha Ganesha homas, very beautiful. Everything is so beautiful; everybody is so sweet, so nice, so kind, very special. What is the essence of all these Navaratri festivals? What is the essence? Why we are doing all these things? In the holy rishis’ divine vision, they are expecting a very great mankind, powerful mankind, very special mankind with inner beauty, inner values. So, that’s why, this is the time to worship that supreme consciousness in the name of Divine Mother. Knowingly, unknowingly, in any name, in any form, in any faith, wherever they may be, when people are worshipping Divine Mother with any form also, it reaches the supreme truth only. The ultimate goal of the entire mankind is the supreme goal, oneness only, truth only. So, behind all these pujas we are worshipping the supreme energy in the name of Divine Mother—Divine Mother in her innumerable forms: Maha Saraswati: Vidya Pradhana Samaye Whenever the supreme consciousness is giving education in different, different levels to her children, Mother appears in front of her children in the form of Maha Saraswati. The same Mother, when Mother is granting the boons of all kinds of wealth to her children, Mother’s form is Maha Lakshmi: Lakshmi Pradhana Samaye Nava Vidrumabham means that Mother Maha Lakshmi appears in the form of the beautiful reddish color, red coral color. Maha Lakshmi is granting beautiful, beautiful powers and also so many kinds of wealth to her sweet children. And Mother is granting her children innumerable special energies—intellectual energies, special energies—energetic body, energetic mind, energetic life, innumerable energies. Mother is going to grant these to her children. Mother is giving food in the form of Annapurna, Mother is giving rest in the form of Nidra Devi, Mother is giving peace to her children in the form of Shanti Devi: Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu The human race in the entire world belongs to Supreme Mother only. Everyone in the entire human race is Mother only—only Mother, only oneness. So, we want to live a peaceful life in our home, in this world home. The essence of all these nine days’, ten days’ pujas is that the rishis expect a great mankind in the world to lead peaceful lives in their entire lifetime, universal peace. They are also expecting, like us, the universal peace with their future consciousness. So, peace, how can we get peace? When we are in our hearts with so much hardness, selfishness, unkindness, unrighteous behavior—how can we get peace in our home, in our life, in our world? That’s why we are worshipping the divinity in the form of Mother. Mother is tender Mother; Mother is going to break the shell of “I-ness” in our hearts. The shell of “I-ness”—it is so difficult to eradicate that “I-ness” from our lives. But this is possible for Divine Mother, so that’s why we totally surrender to Divine Mother, “Mother, open our hearts. Give us awareness. Give us the experience of the supreme truth, oneness. We want the experience of oneness. When we experience that oneness we will get true love in our hearts, equal vision in our lives, pure happiness in our life; we will be able to love everybody in our lives and our vision will be the divine vision; we will be able to see divinity everywhere in the entire universe. Durga So we need more people—how many people? We need unlimited people in our world with this kind of inner blossoming hearts. Then mankind will become such a peaceful, powerful mankind. This is the ultimate goal of mankind. The essence of Navaratri festivities is inner blossoming, inner strength. We need more people with inner strength to support the society like a pillar. Selfless people are the backbone of the society; they are like pillars in the society. So [as] the values are gradually going from our society, they are supporting the society with their selfless hearts and with their selfless love. They are serving the society from the bottom of their heart. So, that’s why we need more people, unlimited people in our home, in our world home, to support our home with eternal peace. This is the essence of all the Navaratri festivals. The entire day is so auspicious, very powerful. So, we need to take an oath to achieve our destination, to experience this treasure within our lives. This greatest treasure of Self-realization is permanent, imperishable truth. Everything in this entire universe is changing and changing and changing; but truth is changeless. That is the ultimate goal of the entire mankind. There are karmendriyas [organs of action], jnanendriyas [sense organs] in the number of 10, so [Vijaya]dasami is—dasa is ten; [it means] victory over the mind and body and the accumulations of the karma load of innumerable births. We will then be able to experience the ultimate goal of the supreme happiness in this lifetime. Today is Vijayadasami. Sweet children, meditate well. Do not hurt anybody’s feelings; do not speak untruth; be kind; be very careful; give value to each and every second in your lifetime to do very good things, selfless seva. The essence of Navaratri festivals is cosmic love and selfless seva. This cosmic love is not the temporary love; it is a permanent love, very pure love. We are able to love everybody in this entire universe like our supreme Self; we are able to see Divine Mother in all the living beings in the entire world. So that is the essence of the love, cosmic love. Second one is service. This service we are doing for our Self only. Selfless seva is the greatest yoga towards all the living beings to [help us to] merge with the eternal. It is so special. The essence of Navaratri festival is cosmic love and selfless seva. I love you so much, my sweet children. I love you always. Once again, Amma’s special love and special motherly affection to all of you. On this special Navaratri festival day, I love you, I love you.
